March 1970. George Best died November 2005 and David Sadler on their way to London to play Chelsea, where Utd lost 2-1. Sadler played alongside Best in the Youth Cup winning side of 1963-64 and they often socialized together until 1968, when Sadler married his long-term girlfriend. Mike Summerbee married at around the same time as Sadler, so Best lost two steadying influences within a short spa
